All this depends on some factors, especially lighting.
So, when later you find out that the greige wall paint you choose tends to look more beige instead of gray you will not be shocked. The reason is already explained here especially for you.
Hello Linda,
I have to choose a color for my house that I have seen only in pictures yet. I know what I like but I need an advice if you don’t mind helping me. I like warm light color, ( I used to be in love with beige) so after reading I don’t know how many blogs it seems like Classic grey, Balboa Mist and Edgecomb Gray would be good. I would like to know which one is the lightest and has tan undertones, that would go good with blue, green or beige and white furnitures. I want a warm and relaxing and light living room. Classic gray is beautiful but I am worried it is just a gray and not warm enough. From Balboa mist and Edgecomb Gray I would like to know which one is the lightest. I don’t know much about the lighting in the house, seems light with greenery outside and nice big windows, in cold Canada….I live now in Nice, France.
Thank you very much for your help
Veronique
I cannot believe it but Agreeable Grey looks Blue !! Baby blue !!! Have to repaint !!!!!
What color did you use? Agreeable Grey, which is a warm grey, looks like a cool shade on my walls! I’m at a loss as to what to do. Luckily, I only painted samples of the color on my walls but i can’t paint the whole large room that awful color.
Thank you Linda. Do you think you could transition a Edgecomb gray room to a pale oak hallway or would you suggest 75% Edgecomb grey?
I’m curious of what color to paint my home. I have two colors in mind accessible beige, pale oak, china doll and Edgecomb gray. I’m trying to make sure the color compliments my hardwood floors.
This is one of the best explanations I have read comparing these very similar colors. Thank you for such concise information along with undertone comparisons. I chose Edgecomb Gray for my walls and am very happy with it. Pale Oak was my second choice, but I decided it was too light.
